For the 2024 season, OUTDOORCHEF is expanding its accessories portfolio with the cold smoke generator – SMOKE. This innovative new product allows grill enthusiasts to effortlessly enhance their existing grills by adding a smoker function.
WAEGLI DESIGN’s design for the cold smoke generator effortlessly merges with OUTDOORCHEF’s existing product language, which in recent years has been significantly influenced by WAEGLI DESIGN.
From the initial design concept to the tooling stage and beyond, WAEGLI DESIGN provided invaluable insights and expertise throughout the entire development process. Overall, every element, from the ergonomic handle to the elegant base, is optimized to ensure a user-friendly and visually appealing design.

UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITY FOR EVERY GRILL
Designed with universal combability in mind, the cold smoke generator seamlessly integrates with any grill model on the market. While we have optimized its design to adapt to the current design language of OUTDOORCHEF, its elegant and versatile aesthetics make it a perfect match for any grill.
The aluminum-cast base of the cold smoke generator accommodates all electronic components. Not only does the design account for these components’ size and positioning but does so without compromising on the overall aesthetics. Furthermore, we made sure to seamlessly integrate the stainless-steel chimney component to create a cohesive and visually appealing unit.
The handle of the cold smoke generator serves a dual purpose. Attached to the chimney element, it facilitates the transportation of the smoke generator while also acting as heat protection. With the center of gravity placed in the smoker’s base, we focused on creating a handle that provides proper ergonomics, making it comfortable to carry the device.
SMOOTH REGULATION & EXTENDED CAPACITY
The cold smoke generator combines both functionality and design to provide the ultimate smoking experience. With ergonomics and aesthetics in mind, a control knob is located on the base for easy access. The artwork’s indicator elements and the control knob’s brand-specific design allow for the perfect control of the device.
For added convenience, the smoke generator can be fitted with an XXL silicone funnel attachment that provides extra capacity. This extension allows the smoker to hold additional smoking chips for a longer, more flavorful experience.
WAEGLI DESIGN not only provided its expertise during the design process but also created high-quality visualizations that showcase the smoker’s modern and sleek design. Additionally, we created an artwork for the smoker’s controls to ensure a user-friendly experience.
