AWARD-WINNING DESIGN FOR OUTDOORCHEF'S NEW FLAGSHIP PRODUCT
At WAEGLI DESIGN, we took on the exciting challenge of redesigning and updating OUTDOORCHEF’s flagship grill for the 2024 season. The result? The groundbreaking LUGANO 570 G EVO II has already received accolades for its ultimate evolution in outdoor cooking.
One of the foremost objectives was to preserve the grill’s fundamental technical structure, materials, and colors while incorporating key upgrades. With the integration of the Blazing/Cooking Zone module from the AROSA 570 G EVO, alongside the built-in kettle, the new LUGANO 570 G EVO II turns into the most compact outdoor kitchen in the world.

PREMIUM AESTHETIC WITH MODERN DESIGN ELEMENTS
With the upgrade of the side cooking area, the controls of the Blazing/Cooking Zone have been moved from the front to the side of the grill. This thoughtful enhancement ensures a more user-friendly experience when operating the side-by-side grilling zones. The side control panel, featuring a sleek glass front, seamlessly integrates into the overall design and harmonizes with the signature glass front control panel. Sleek aluminum die-cast elements not only cover the fixation elements of the control panels but also protect the glass edges.
To further modernize the grill’s appearance, the control panels received an updated LED concept. These LEDs not only indicate the flow of gas but also illuminate the OUTDOORCHEF logo and product name as soon as the first control knob is activated, creating an inviting ambiance.
Recognizing the industry’s tendency towards bulky grill handles, we set out to reimagine their design. The newly designed and fully integrated handle inserts of the LUGANO 570 G EVO II perfectly complete the premium aesthetic.
Design Integrity From Concept to Market
Throughout the design journey, we utilized a range of tools, from sketches and illustrations to 3D-printed prototypes. These enabled us to refine the final product, ensuring it met our exacting standards of excellence.
Additionally, our collaborative partnership with OUTDOORCHEF’s innovation team extended from design to manufacturing, guaranteeing the design integrity of the final product throughout the production process. Furthermore, to support our client’s marketing and sales efforts, we utilized our expertise to craft captivating packaging artwork. Moreover, we created high-quality visualizations showcasing the grill and its exceptional features in the best possible light.
