Heat C-Series
Expanding the HEAT Family Without Compromise
The HEAT C-Series, designed for OUTDOORCHEF, introduces a new generation of entry-level grills that bring the distinctive character of the HEAT family to a wider audience. Building on the design foundations of the HEAT X-Series, the new models combine a refined, streamlined appearance with the versatility, performance, and quality expected from OUTDOORCHEF.
The objective was to create a clearly differentiated series that feels equally refined and capable despite its more accessible positioning. This required a careful balance of aesthetics, functional requirements, and manufacturing considerations, preserving the character of the HEAT family while establishing a unique identity for the C-Series.
In close collaboration with the OUTDOORCHEF innovation team, WAEGLI DESIGN shaped the industrial design from initial sketches and concept exploration through detailed development and DFM support. Our approach focused on translating the HEAT design language into a sophisticated yet simplified product architecture, combining purposeful detailing, ergonomic considerations, and production feasibility to create a commercially viable grill series that integrates seamlessly into the OUTDOORCHEF portfolio.

Refined Simplicity, Unmistakable HEAT Design
The HEAT C-Series combines a streamlined product architecture with carefully considered details that establish its own identity within the HEAT family. Slim side tables flow seamlessly into the main control panel, creating a continuous visual line that unifies the grill's proportions. A simplified lid with elegantly shaped side panels reinforces the series' distinctive silhouette while maintaining a recognizable connection to the premium HEAT X-Series. The lid handle further exemplifies the attention to detail, with distinctive mounting brackets creating a recognizable visual feature and a knurled gripping area providing a tactile cue for comfortable, secure handling.
These purposeful refinements enhance both aesthetics and usability without adding unnecessary complexity. Available in three- and four-burner configurations, the HEAT C-335 and C-435 offer generous grilling surfaces, rear burners, and OUTDOORCHEF’s signature Blazing Zone integrated into the left side table. The cohesive design also extends to the wider HEAT ecosystem, allowing accessories such as the compact OUTDOORCHEF storage trolley to fit neatly beneath the side table.
HEAT C-265: High-Temperature Grilling Meets XL Plancha
The HEAT C-265 introduces a specialized configuration that combines high-temperature performance with the versatility of an extra-large cast-iron plancha. Two independently controlled Blazing Zone infrared burners form the main cooking area, accommodating either individual grill grids or the XL plancha for a wide range of cooking techniques. The plancha features a dedicated drainage opening that directs excess grease into a removable stainless steel collection pan. To integrate this feature without compromising the grill's appearance, WAEGLI DESIGN developed a precisely defined recess that securely accommodates the pan.
Even when the plancha and collection pan are removed, the recessed area remains an intentional design element rather than an exposed functional necessity. An additional Cooking Zone integrated into the side table extends the grill's capabilities, allowing sauces, side dishes, or other ingredients to be prepared alongside the main cooking area. Together, the dual high-temperature zones, generous plancha surface, and dedicated side burner create a flexible outdoor cooking station, with every component thoughtfully incorporated into the distinctive C-Series design.
