Step into a world of luxury and elegance as you enter the spacious and inviting lobby area. A stunning blue effect light guides the passengers through a brightly lit hallway to their designated compartments.
To meet every passenger’s preference and need the night sleeper train offers three different, meticulously designed classes – standard, comfort, and luxury. Within each car, thoughtful consideration has been given to lavatory facilities, ensuring the utmost convenience for the passengers. This includes cleverly designed in-room lavatory solutions for the luxury and comfort classes. An onboard kitchenette allows for freshly prepared meals during the journey. For seamless operations, dedicated and thoughtfully designed work compartments have been allocated for the onboard personnel. To top it all off, the design experience continues in the separate restaurant car where passengers can indulge in additional culinary delights.
The project aims to create an elegant and luxurious night sleeper experience by harmonizing the exterior and interior design elements. The exterior of the train showcases a meticulously chosen paint job that aligns with the overall theme. The color theme of the train’s exterior seamlessly connects with the interior design. The carefully chosen exterior paint job not only catches the eye, but also sets the expectation for the exceptional experience awaiting passengers inside. This thoughtful approach ensures a harmonious and visually appealing experience for passengers as they transition from the exterior to the interior.
The project demanded a comprehensive and multi-faceted approach to ensure success. From taking cultural aspects into account to addressing technical and regulatory requirements, no stone was left unturned.
A pivotal phase of the project involved a research trip to Azerbaijan. By being immersed in the local environment, we gained invaluable insights and a deeper understanding of the specific requirements and preferences of the Azerbaijani culture. Additionally, through extensive CMF discussions during client meetings, we were able to align the design vision with the cultural context, client objectives, and the needs of the passengers.
As an integral part of the process, we created a range of 1:1 mock-ups to simulate various user scenarios. These mock-ups enabled us to simulate user scenarios and evaluate the design’s effectiveness in terms of space utilization, functionality, and comfort. This iterative process allowed us to refine and optimize the final design, ensuring that it not only meets the technical and regulatory requirements, but also surpasses the desires and needs of the passengers.
